Supercomputer – Giant Pollutant

The presence of supercomputer technology allows people to conduct various studies, such as weather forecasting and research about global warming. Yet, ironically, the supercomputer became one of the polluters are exacerbating global warming.

A supercomputer worth U.S. $ 16 million in the UK able to perform 1 trillion calculations per second. However, behind the powerful ability, it caused negative impacts.

According to environmental experts, this is ironic, in which a computer that aims to combat the impact of environmental change but instead became the largest contributor to environmental damage.

South Korea Satellite Was Lost Just After Launched

A satellite that was launched by the first South Korea’s space rocket (Korea) out of its orbit. This satellite allegedly burned when re-entering the earth’s atmosphere.

As reported by AFP, Wednesday (26/8/2009), the satellite has reached a height of 387 km (242 miles). “After all these heights, the satellite fell to earth and is expected to disintegrate when entered back into the atmosphere,” said Deputy Minister of Science South Korea, Kim Jung-Hyun.

South Korea has invested more than 500 billion won (USD 400 million) for the satellite and 33-meters rocket. The satellite was also become a South Korean national pride.

The satellite was the result of cooperation between South Korea with Russia. “South Korea deal with Separation of upper part, while Russia’s duty is give technical assistance. Therefore the two countries are equally responsible,” said Kim.

Despite failed, South Korea didn’t give up with their commitment to advance the capabilities of space technology. These countries had previously launched 10 satellites with a rocket from another country.

In November 2007, South Korea announced plans to launch satellites that orbit the moon in 2020. They announce their moon-project a month after China first launched their first satellite to moon and 2 months after the Japanese did the same thing.

“We can say this half of the success, even though satellite failed to enter the orbit. We must make our dreams become developed country in space technology, even if it requires us to try 8 times after 7 times failed or 9 times after 8 times failed,” said South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak.

Simon Cowell’s Computer was Hacked, Justin’s Song Was Stolen

Simon Cowell is certainly will be very angry for what he had experienced. The computer of the musician that well-known as the hot judges on American Idol contest just hacked. As a result, the track owned by the popular singer spread on the internet.

TomTom GPS For iPhone Has Been Released

TomTom has released the GPS navigation application for its iPhone. Applications for U.S. $ 100 iPhone is using the chip built in GPS, for navigation display in real time.

iPhone TomTom software offers many features such as: portrait views, points of interest, 3D and 2D maps, and both day and night views.

Navigon Mobile Navigator in North America [AppGuide link] sold for U.S. $ 69.99 while the TomTom in the U.S. and Canada [iTunes link] sold for U.S. $ 99.99. On the other hand, CoPilot Live in North America [iTunes link] sold for U.S. $ 34.99.

This application is compatible for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, which requires iPhone OS 3.0 or above.

Female Teacher Send Her Nude Photo To Student

Rather than teaching her students onto the good, this teacher’s behavior is even full of irregularities. How can we say it wasn’t a foolish act to send the 14-year old student her topless photos.

On the other hand, the teacher who called Michelle Simonson who live in Detroit, United States send dozens of nasty SMS messages on the victim. Simonson also now being courted with the various legal claims to account for her nasty activities.

As quoted from FreePress, Tuesday (18/8/2009), if guilty, suspects could be sentenced to 4 years in prison.

The case revealed after the victim does not feel comfortable with a volley of profanity SMS from his teacher. But, he also reported on the parents that the case proceed on the local police.

Luckily, the victim has not confessed scotfree by the female teachers. Police also did not find evidence there has been physical contact between them even though it seems, the teacher very interested on her student who are still very young.

Loyality of Google Users Make Google Stronger

Efforts of Microsoft and Yahoo team to compete against Google in search engine technology, still seems a long journey. This is related to Google’s dominance which even stronger. This fact is supported by the loyalty of the users.

The latest research from comScore shows that Google users search twice more than users of Microsoft or Yahoo. Precisely, Google users conducted an average of about 55 searches per month.

Meanwhile, Yahoo users do 25 searches per month. Located in the last sequence is a fan of Microsoft’s search engine only do 14 searches per month.
